Department of Art + Design Faculty Exhibit Opens Tuesday, January 15

The CWU Sarah Spurgeon Gallery will host the 2019 CWU Department of Art + Design Faculty Exhibition. This biennial exhibit features recent artwork by full and part-time faculty, emeritus faculty, and graduate teaching assistants. Visitors to the gallery will have the opportunity to view sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, wood design, graphic design, photography, painting, drawing, and printmaking.

The opening events will take place on Tuesday, January 15, beginning with an artists’ talk at 4:00 p.m. in Randall Hall, room 117. During the talk several faculty, including David Bieloh, Maya Chachava, Marcus DiSieno, Rachel Kirk, and Stephen Robison, will give brief presentations about their work. The talk will be immediately followed by a reception in the gallery from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The 2019 CWU Department of Art + Design Faculty Exhibition will remain on display through February 3.  Sarah Spurgeon Gallery is located in Randall Hall on Dean Nicholson Boulevard and is open weekdays 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and on weekends, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The gallery will be closed January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
