This event is for Junior and Senior high school students who are interested in pursuing Art + Design as a career to participate in hands-on university art + design studio classes. There will be two art + design studio sessions. The students will have the opportunity to select from the eight different studio areas offered at Central Washington University.

There will be a morning and afternoon session and the department will be providing a lunch at noon and an exhibit reception and awards ceremony for Look at Me: a High School Student Exhibition at 4 PM. The registration/check-in table opens at 9 AM in Randall Hall. Students are invited to bring a portfolio for faculty to review.

The portfolio review is intended to give the student input on their artwork and advice on how to better build a portfolio for applications for scholarships etc. A portfolio is a critical part of an artist's career; this review allows the students to receive feedback from experienced faculty so they may apply a better portfolio to scholarships, college admission, and even jobs. Only digital portfolios with up to ten examples of student work or photographs for 3D work on a USB drive will be reviewed. Please check the button on the registration form to indicate if you are bringing a portfolio.
