Cadre and Staff

Major Paolilli serves as the CWU Army ROTC Department Chair and Professor of Military Science. He is overall in charge of the program.

Master Sergeant Brockman is the Senior Military Instructor for CWU Army ROTC. He serves as the senior non-commissioned officer for the program and senior enlisted advisor to the Professor of Military Science. He also assists the instructor for the MS III (third year) cadets in the program. Prior to his arrival at Central Washington University, Master Sergeant Brockman finished his assignment in the 82nd Airborne Division. He previously served as a Ranger Instructor in the mountain phase of Ranger School. He also served as a Ranger Instructor for two years with the 4th Alpini Paracadutisti in Italy (the Italian Ranger Regiment).

The Captain serves as the Executive Officer (second in charge) of the program and instructs the MS II (second year) cadets.

CPT Jaymar Imperial is a Washington Army National Guard officer. He serves as the S-3 training officer overseeing all cadet field training exercises. Captain Imperial graduated from CWU and commissioned with the Army ROTC program in 2012. Immediately after graduating, he was selected as a Gold Bar Recruiter for CWU Army ROTC. He graduated Transportation Basic Officer Leadership Course (BOLC) in 2013 and became a platoon leader with E Co 1-168th GSAB. He then served as an Executive Officer with 792nd Chemical Company and took Command of D Co 141st BSB in 2018. He deployed as a Company in September 2019 through July 2020.

Mr. Samson is a civilian instructor contracted with the Department of the Army. He also serves as a Second Lieutenant in the Washington Army National Guard. He teaches the MS I (first year) cadets. He graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies in the spring of 2022 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on June 10, 2022.

Andrew Van Den Hoek is a Department of the Army Civilian and serves as the Recruiting Operations Officer for the program. He is served as an Active-Duty Armor and Military Intelligence officer. He assists all prospective students with exploring options through Army ROTC.

David Mirro is a Department of the Army civilian who serves as the programs Human Resource Technician. He oversees all cadet administrative actions, contracts and cadet files. He is a retired Air Force officer.

Sigrid Welker is the Army ROTC Program Coordinator with Central Washington University. She serves as the liasion between the uniformed instructors and Army civilians and the university.
