The mission of the Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising department is to educate the next generation of leaders by preparing graduates who are creative, socially responsible and professionally knowledgeable in the broad spectrum of the apparel industry.

At Central, you learn in the real world so you can make a difference in the global fashion industry. Our program combines the business and creative aspects of the fashion industry through small class sizes, relevant coursework, industry field trips, and internships. We take advantage of CWU’s proximity to Seattle to network with industry professional through company field trips and guest speakers. You will graduate with the skills to make an immediate impact in the $2.5 trillion global fashion industry.

If you are forward-thinking, creative, innovative, and passionate—and we know you will do something great. In the Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising program, you will enhance your skills through industry-relevant coursework and collaborative environments, connecting with fashion in new and creative ways.
