We hope your year is off to a great start, Wildcats!
With the new year comes new and exciting opportunities, and we are happy to announce that the CWU Alumni Association is partnering with an alumni-owned winery to bring you the first-ever CWU Wine Club! We will have more information coming your way soon, so keep your eyes on our alumni social media and future newsletters to sign up for the spring shipment.
Next week, join us for the next webinar in our series, How a Viral Moment in CWU History Impacted Sportsmanship on a National Stage. This webinar will take place on February 17, featuring CWU Alum Mallory Holtman-Fletcher (’08). Register today at cwu.edu/alumni/webinars and stream any of the previous webinars in the series that you may have missed.
Looking ahead to the spring, we can’t wait to welcome the class of 2021 into the alumni family. We hope you will consider supporting upcoming graduates by making a gift of $100 to provide a student with a one-year membership to the CWU Alumni Association and a cap and gown that they can use for graduation photos and to commemorate their time at Central. If you know a student that is graduating this spring that could use assistance, encourage them to apply today. Once logged in, search “CWU Alumni Association Cap and Gown Fund,” and if you have further questions please contact the scholarship department at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask for assistance. Applications for 2021 graduates have been extended through February.
We are still in search of alumni-owned or managed businesses to help promote for FREE! Please fill out our questionnaire and submit a photo and we may help advertise your business to the Wildcat family on our social media. Thank you to those who have already submitted responses, and we look forward to hearing from more of you. For more Wildcat business resources, please visit cwu.edu/alumni/wildcat-business.
Are you a dedicated Central alum who is passionate about CWU? We are currently seeking individuals who are interested in planning and coordinating Wildcat engagement in their communities by becoming a Wildcat Regional Leader. If you’re interested, please email Ashley Gillum at Ashley.Gillum@cwu.edu to get more information about our Regional Leader Program.
Keep an eye on our CWU Alumni Association social media to see #CWUCouples being featured for Valentine’s Day! Many are already posted, and many more are to come that tell the story of couples who met or dated during their time at Central. If you are interested in being included in future alumni social media features, contact our Wildcat Network Officers Emilee or Jocelyn at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
We hope you have a safe and healthy winter season, and we look forward to seeing you virtually or hearing from you soon! Go Cats!
