Achieve the highest quality teacher education in the State of Washington through constructivist instructional practices that engage teacher candidates, so that they may collaboratively build their understandings, develop and hone skills and illuminate their belief systems.

Learners and Learning
- Treat all learners with respect and equity.
- Offer rigorous, stimulating and interactive learning experiences.
Modeling and Reflective Practice
- Exemplify current evidence-based practices and engage in reflective practice to hone our knowledge and skills to provide our pre-service teachers with the best educational experience, but also so they may experience an excellent instructional model to inform their future teaching.
Learning by Doing
- Provide hands-on experiences with our prek-12 partners, so that our pre-service teachers have hundreds of instructional hours prior to graduation.
Teacher-Scholar Model
- Engage in research to enhance our pedagogical and theoretical knowledge and instructional skills.
