Judd Eichorst

Academic Advisor, Professional Advising

Judd grew up in the Adirondack Mountains on a horse farm in New York. Judd joined the United States Air Force after High School and served as a Meteorologist, creating forecasts and briefings for operations throughout the Southeast United States and overseas. A first-generation college student, Judd attended the Community College of Vermont and found his passion for writing. He transferred to Southern Vermont College and earned his BA in English, studying Shakespeare, memoirs, and creative non-fiction.

At Southern Vermont College Judd also discovered his passion for working with students. Beginning as a work-study Judd worked in the Office of the Registrar performing everything from degree audits to education verifications. He was also active with Student Government Association and TRiO. His campus involvement led Judd to Michigan State University’s Student Affairs Administration program. While pursuing his Master of Arts in Student Affairs, Judd was an assistant hall director, interned in student conduct, and interned with the student veteran resource center. Judd was a proud member and mentor to the Student Veterans of America chapter whilst at MSU, and is active within the growing number of military veterans within higher education.

Judd joined CWU Professional Advising after graduating with his Masters in June 2019. When not on campus he is passionate about bullet journaling, mindful practices, the great outdoors, the Detroit Red Wings, and yoga.
