What does the typical hiring process look like?
First, you will complete an online application. Selected applicants will be contacted for an initial interview (phone, video or on-campus, depending on the role). Applicants that advance past the initial interview may be invited to campus for a second interview. We check references on final candidates, and then offer the role to the finalist!

If I already filled out an application for another position, do I have to submit another application for each role I'm applying to?
Yes, each position requires a separate application. You can track all of your applications in our career portal.

Can I submit a resume for more than one job at at time?
No, each position requires a separate application.

How do I change the information on my application or resume?
If, after submitting your application, you would like to make a change, please contact us at hr@cwu.edu or (509) 963-1202. Please be sure to contact us prior to the posted screening date.

Will I be notified either way regarding the interview?
Yes! Whether or not you are selected for an interview, we will keep you updated of your status.

What is considered appropriate attire for an interview?

What type of orientation will I receive as a new CWU employee?
Your first day of employment at CWU is so exciting! All new hires attend a new employee welcome session on their first day. As training varies by role and department, more information will be provided during the welcome session.

Does CWU provide any kind of housing assistance for employees who will be moving to the Ellensburg area?
Some positions may qualify for temporary on-campus accommodations based on availability; please check with your hiring manager.

Is it safe to work in Ellensburg?
