The Getty

The Getty has a collection of online pictures of the current exhibitions at the museum. This is a great place to find lesson plans as well as images for the art classroom.
Artlex Do art terms confuse you? Do you need a definition for an art term? Artlex is the perfect art dictionary for all your visual art needs! This is great for teachers or art students who need help with discussing art, pronunciations, or any support images for lesson plans or classroom presenation. 

Dick Blick Lesson Plans
Dick Blick offers many great lesson in art ranging from very simple that any classroom teacher could use to more complex that any visual art teacher would love. They are printable or PDF downloads.
National Gallery of ArtThis is a great classroom resource for both teachers and students. This site interactive features that can be used in the classroom and provides resources on all types for topics from American Art to Ancient Art across all types of curriculum. 

Smithsonian
Lesson plans are available for downloading. These lessons could be modified for high school lessons or adapted for middle level learners, which are designed to bring multiple disciplines into visual art.
Artist Susan Cornelis-

I really like Susan's work. This is a link to her sketchbook blog. In my classroom, my students will be encouraged to keep a sketchbook and I feel that Susan's work is good inspiration for creativity.

Art21
Art 21 is a series that focuses excluively on contemporary artists in the United States. If you want to learn more about artist or would like to see the episode guild this is a great place to look. 
The Museum of Modern ArtThe MOMA offers artisitc learning activities online for everyone! One of my favorites it the printmaking demo done by a visiting artist. This site also has ideas for art educators and games for children for all ages.

The Kennedy Center- ArtsEge
 This is a wonderful resource for art educators. There are many lessons that can be downloaded from this site. It also provided a comprehensive how-to sections on critiques and assessing art.

Arts and Activities
Every month new art articles can be found on this site. Within these monthly magazines you can find lessons or tips from weaving to art movements. It's a great site for art teachers.
