University Writing Center Mission Statement

Central Washington University is a community of writers, facilitated by the University Writing Center. Consultants work with students of all levels and disciplines, at the Ellensburg campus and the University Centers. They guide their peers toward communication that is effective in a global and diverse environment, during and after studying at Central.

Because writing is not constrained by physical walls, consultants not only meet one-on-one with students in the center but also reach out throughout the university, guiding many types of group discussion about writing.
