Current Students' Scholarship and Creative Activity

Joanna Thomas: Joanna Thomas has a solo exhibition of her collages at the Punch Gallery in Seattle, October 4-28. From the news release: "Collage artist Joanna Thomas has long been obsessed with the feminist question, 'Why have there been no great women artists?' In this recent body of work, Thomas continues her investigation into the why and wherefore of cherished artwork created by 'masters,' and focuses her attention on the landscape paintings of the Chinese literati from centuries past." http://www.punchgallery.org/exhibitions/2007-10.html

Alumnae News

Diane Bedwell: I am currently living in Lansing, MI and I am working for Michigan Campus Compact as an AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America). The National VISTA program is dedicated to fighting poverty through volunteerism. Michigan Campus Compact promotes the education and commitment of Michigan college students to be civically engaged citizens, through creating and expanding academic, co-curricular and campus-wide opportunities for community service, service-learning and civic engagement.

Jenny Kytta: My major was art with a specialization in graphic design. I grew up in Centralia and wanted to move closer to home so I am living near Olympia. I found a great job as a designer at an Ad Agency here. In my spare time I'm spending more time with the friends I grew up with and planning my wedding which will take place in May.
