Connecting to CWU-WPA (secure) Wireless Network

This page provides instructions for students, faculty, and staff to connect to the CWU-WPA secure network.

For all Windows computers:

For Windows computers with no ethernet connection: Connect to the "CWU-Connect" wireless network, open a browser and type in this web address: hostreg.cwu.edu

Then follow the instructions below:

  1. Download and install the CWU wireless utility: WiFi_CWU.exe

  2. Enter your Wildcat credentials when requested.

  3. Connection will be automatic

  4. For future connections, connect directly to CWU-WPA wireless network.

For all Mac laptops, iPhone, iPads, iPods and Windows 7, 8 phones:

  1. Connect to CWU-WPA wireless network

  2. Enter your CWU credentials when requested

  3. Accept the (unverified) server certificate

  4. Connection will be automatic

For Androids, Blackberrys, and Linux:

These devices require manual setup. The settings are as follows (Android shown):

Security type: WPA2 Enterprise

SSID: cwu-wpa

EAP Method: PEAP

Phase 2 (or Inner) Authentication: MSCHAPv2

Certificates: None, Unspecified

Identity: Wildcat user name

Password: Wildcat password

Anonymous Identity: anonymous (or leave blank)
