News:SUNY Press has just released "Riding the Wind with Liezi: New Essays on the Daoist Classic," edited by Jeffrey Dippmann and Ronnie Littlejohn (Belmont University). Arguing for the Liezi’s historical, philosophical, and literary significance, the twelve contributors to this volume (including Dippmann's own "Reading the Zhuangzi in Liezi: Redefining Xianship") offer a fresh look at this neglected Daoist classic, using contemporary approaches and providing novel insights. The volume is unique in its attention to both philosophical and religious perspectives.

News:Dr. Bartlett has been accepted into the 2008 APA/AAPT Graduate Teaching Seminar, August 7th-10th, at the University of Guelph, Ontario. The seminar, which is for current or recent graduate students, and is run by the American Philosophical Association and the American Association of Philosophy Teachers, is limited to 20 participants.

News:Chenyang Li, Philosophy and Religious Studies, published a paper "The Ideal of Harmony in Ancient Chinese and Greek Philosophy" in the journal Tao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy, VII.1 (March 2008). In the same issue he also published a book review of Daniel Bell's Beyond Liberal Democracy: Political Thinking for an East Asia in Context (a CHOICE 2007 Best Academic Title).
