Lana Carolan Lana Carolan   Ellensburg High School   Life Science   EHS biology class seeks to inspire a closer relationship with nature through direct, hands-on experiences in the natural world. We seek to learn new ways to live with the earth and each other without harm. By participating in the WATERS grant, students will be exposed to the Yakima watershed. Specifically, we are interested in the influence and impacts of local activities on the Yakima River.   Susan Brady   lcarolan@eburg.wednet.edu

Brian Richardson Brian Richardson   Davis High School   Physical Science   I am interested in describing and understanding the motion of water, and looking at the world around us in a new and different way. Thus, my hope is that Yakima WATERS will help us discover alternatives for humans to utilize renewable energy sources.   Caitlyn Orem   Richardson.Brian@yakimaschools.org

Brittainy Ryan Brittainy Ryan   Cle Elum/Roslyn High School   Life Science   Our curriculum is based on stewardship of place (in this case the upper Yakima River), making it a logical fit with the Yakima WATERS project.   Clayton Larkins

Eric Wickwire Eric Wickwire   Cle Elum/Roslyn High School   Civics   My connection to Yakima WATERS began with the completion of my Resource Management masters thesis, which focused on using local places as cultural landscapes to ignite inquiry learning. I've applied these ideas at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School establishing the Discovery Institute, which combines our local place and examine human land use as context for student learning.   Clayton Larkins
