Trombone Auditions at CWU
When planning your application to the music department make sure to:
1) Complete an application to be accepted by the university (Admissions info)
2) Schedule an audition either during our annual open house or by appointment with Professor Babbitt
3) Prepare a great audition! Check out these helpful playing tips.
Suggested audition repertoire:
Undergraduate: Guilmant Morceau Symphonique, Hindemith Sonata (mvt.1), Jacob Concerto (mvt.1), Borodgni/Rochut Melodius Etudes, Blazhevich Clef Studies, Improvisation on a standard tune
Transfer: same as undergraduate
Graduate: David Concertino, Tomasi Concerto, Telemann Fantasies, Standard Orchestral Excerpts
