CWU Thespian Housing Award(s) - Freshmen and Transfer Students

The Department of Theatre Arts has a limited number of $1,000 housing scholarships for the upcoming school year. This award money can only be credited toward room and board in a CWU resident hall and will be distributed in equal installments over three quarters, as funds are available.

Who Can Apply?

All incoming freshmen or transfer students with a GPA of 3.0 can apply. (Some exceptions may be made on the student's GPA for outstanding talent, prior service and experience in all aspects of theatre) Students must be beginning their first quarter at CWU in the fall quarter. Once admitted to CWU, students must register as Theatre Arts majors, and maintain major status in good standing, in order to continue the award each quarter. Award-winning theatre majors in good standing are expected to maintain a GPA of 3.0 or better in classes taken to maintain good standing as a theater major.
