Theatre Arts Department: Scholarships

This year the faculty and staff of the Theatre Arts Department will be visiting schools throughout Washington state discussing scholarships for students of promise, based on audition / interview and recommendations from their Drama teachers. The Theatre Arts Department is pleased to offer a variety of annual scholarship opportunities. Click on the links below for more information and application procedures:

• Dr. Betty Evans Shakespeare Scholarship Study classical acting in Britain for one year. (Offered every other year. Anticipated 2009-10)
• A. James Hawkins Children's Theatre (anticipated2009-010)
• David L. Boushey Scholarship (anticipated 2009-10)
• Paulette Bond Memorial Scholarship (anticipated for 2009-10)
• Talent Awards (5 Full tuition waivers and 4 $1000 awards are anticipated for 2009-10)
• Freshmen and Transfer Housing Awards (15 anticipated for 2009-10)
• Musical Theatre Summer Conservatory (2-5 anticipated for 2009-10)

There are also several exciting CWU scholarship opportunities available outside of the Department, including the Farrell Scholarship, which will fund creative projects, and associated tuition and books for up to three quarters.
