The Master of Arts in Theatre Production is a unique limited-residency graduate program presented within the context of the Summer Institute for Theatre Arts. The MA program is designed to help prepare English and drama teachers to teach and produce theatre more successfully in the secondary and middle schools. Required core courses are designed specifically for the secondary and middle school setting and include study in stage technology, teaching acting skills, acquiring basic learning activities, and creating a curriculum for drama program development. All candidates will complete a minimum of 52 quarter-hours including an approved Creative Project (thesis) presented at their home school or other approved venue.
