| BETHANY TUCKER (Sound and Lighting Lecturer) is
a native of Paducah, Kentucky. She earned her B.F.A. in technical
theatre from Stephens College and her M.F.A. in theatrical design
from Penn State University. Over the course of her 20-year career
she has designed sound for more than 200 theatrical productions,
taught at the University of Arizona--Tucson, the University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee
Professional Theatre Training Program, and was a resident sound
designer for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. She has engineered
sound for Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Austin City Limits Fest,
New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest (Jazz Fest), Milwaukee Summerfest,
Lillith Fair, Ignite Software, and The Famous Door in New Orleans.
As well as for such acts as BB King, Lily Tomlin, Metallica, Itzak
Perlman, and The Indigo Girls. In addition to sound her extensive
sound career, Tucker has also worked as the morning news director
for an NBC affiliate in Kentucky.
