| NADINE PEDERSON (Assistant Professor, Associate
Graduate Coordinator). Dr. Pederson is delighted to be joining the
faculty this fall. She comes to CWU from the University of Texas
at Dallas, where she and a colleague recently took a group of students
sailing through the Greek Isles as part of a Classical Theatre History
course
Pederson received her Ph.D. in Theatre History and Renaissance Studies
from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and
spent four years as a resident of Paris, working on her doctoral
research. Her undergraduate degrees (Theatre and French) are from
the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. She is the recipient
of numerous grants and awards, including a Franklin Research Grant
from the American Philosophical Society, a European Science Foundation
Conference and Travel Grant, and a Chateaubriand Fellowship from
the French government. In December of 2007, she was an invited speaker
at an international conference on Renaissance royal entries at the
School of Advanced Study, University of London. Her research focuses
on law and performance in sixteenth century France.
