| MARY MAKINS (Senior Secretary) joined the Department
in January 2006 after working as Office Manager for a local manufacturing
company for many years. A native of Yakima, and one of 11 children,
she relocated to the Kittitas Valley in 1979. A life-long supporter
patron of the arts, she has traveled extensively pursuing her passion
for all things artistic. Makins studied Textiles and Design at CWU
and is a clothing designer and professional seamstress. She is also
a photo historian, collecting and taking photos of personalities
and events of Ellensburg and beyond for the past 15 years. She is
also an avid athlete who enjoys swimming, hiking, bicycling and
is a retired triathlete. She devotes her free time to her family
and pursuing the arts and music.
