KEITH EDIE (Lecturer) begins his first year as an instructor at CWU, teaching acting courses and the popular Theatre 101. Edie began his acting career as an undergraduate student at CWU, where he appeared in numerous productions, including four Youth Theatre Tours and in Romeo and Juliet, in the title role. After receiving his BA in performance at CWU, he went on to earn his MFA in Acting at Florida State University/Asolo Conservatory. Edie participated in the Apprentice Training Program at New York Stage and Film/Powerhouse Theatre, where he appeared again as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and worked on staged readings for noted playwrights Steve Martin and John Patrick Shanley. Edie was based in Los Angeles for more than seven years, working in film, TV and on the stage, primarily in Shakespearean productions. He also worked with The English Theatre of Frankfurt (Germany) for three seasons, which is the largest English-speaking theatre in continental Europe. In Frankfurt he appeared in Compleat Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Compleat History of America Abridged, which continues to hold the record as the most commercially successful non-musical in the theatre’s history. Edie will lend his acting talents as a Guest Artist starring as Ebeneezer Scrooge in the CTE production of A Christmas Carol.
