| TERRI L. BROWN (Lecturer, Musical Theatre, History
and Literature) completed her M.A. in Theatre Production at CWU,
graduating with honors. For her Master's thesis she directed the
critically acclaimed CTE production of Man of La Mancha. Brown is
currently completing her Ph.D. at Bowling Green University in Ohio.
This year she will be teaching Theatre History, Basic Acting, Introduction
to Theatre and Singing for Actors. While studying at CWU, Brown
also appeared in CTE productions, most notably Aunt Eller in Oklahoma!
Her impressive credits prior to returning to returning to
academia include a 17-year stint as a recording artist with Nirvana
Productions in Los Angeles where she sang and performed for various
projects including rock videos, television appearances, commercial
and voice work, and children's records. She has performed with rock
groups, musical theatre companies and was a singing entertainer
in Reno, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Los Angeles. Brown also toured
with musical theatre companies for more than 10 years throughout
the US and Canada. She is currently under contract with Edgewater
Records in Atlanta, where she continues to work professionally.
This season she will direct the CTE world premiere of Blankity-Blank!
and serve as director of the new Musical Theatre minor at CWU.
