NHRMA student-related awards:
Marilyn Hoppen Student Chapter Grant – A grant to support and promote student chapter initiatives. Funds are not to be used for normal chapter operations, travel to conference, food and beverage, etc. The amount of the grant is $250, and examples of student programs and events can be found here. Deadline for application is May 1, 2012.
Robert W. Denomy Award – This award recognizes one undergraduate student who has performed outstanding service to the HR profession and to the Association in the best tradition of Bob Denomy. All student chapter SHRM members in a degree-seeking program during the 2012-2013 academic year in NHRMA states are eligible to apply. For the first time this year, students are able to self-nominate for this award, and applications will be due on May 15, 2013. The total award is $1,000 plus registration and travel expenses to the 2013 NHRMA conference.
Sharon Koss Graduate Student Award – This award recognizes one graduate student who has performed outstanding service to the HR profession and to the Association in the best tradition of Sharon Koss. All graduate students who are SHRM members in NHRMA states and are enrolled in a graduate-level degree seeking program during the 2012-2013 academic year are eligible to apply. For the first time this year, students are able to self-nominate for this award, and applications will be due on May 15, 2013. The total award is $1,000 plus registration and travel expenses to the 2013 NHRMA conference.
