I was born in Eugene, Oregon and have always considered myself a West Coast person. I completed my undergraduate work in psychology at the University of Oregon and my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology, Alameda Campus. My pre-doctoral internship led to an almost 10 year sojourn in Texas. And while I loved my time there, I am delighted to return to the Pacific Northwest. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, domestic violence and sexual assault services, and a college counseling center. My areas of professional interest include trauma, feminist and multicultural psychologies/therapies, spirituality and psychotherapy, and, of course, supervision and training of interns. My therapeutic and supervision approaches are heavily influenced by feminist, multicultural, developmental, and relational philosophies combined with a background in psychodynamic theory. I work collaboratively and seek to empower all those with whom I work to reach their fullest potential. When not being a psychologist, I run around after our young daughter, enjoy family time, and like to cook and garden.
Pat Cole, Ph.D. -- Psychologist
Hi! I am a Midwesterner by birth - born in South Dakota, 8 years of university education in Ohio. However, I have chosen a lot of different geographic areas to add spice to my life. I studied German through Middlebury College in Vermont; this included 10 months at a university in Germany during which time I was a Fulbright Scholar. I have lived in California, Ohio, Kansas, Alaska, Oregon and now Washington. I have twin sons who provide me the opportunity to travel - one graduated from Macalester College in Minnesota and is now living in Seattle, and the other graduated from Cornell College in Iowa and is now a functional potter making wonderful things in North Carolina. I received my PhD from Ohio State University and have been licensed since 1978. My professional interests reflect my practice settings as I have always worked in rural areas and needed to be a generalist. I work out regularly, enjoy cooking, petting my cat Stubbi, and traveling.
Randy Robinette, Ph.D. -- Psychologist
Born and raised in Indiana. Left home after high school in 1968 to see the world via an all expenses paid tour provided by the United States Air Force. After four years in the Air Force I started college which ultimately resulted in a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas. I reentered active duty with the Air Force in 1981 and worked as a psychologist - both a counseling psychologist and a neuropsychologist - for 16 years until retirement in 2001. I've lived in Indiana, California, Guam, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Germany, Nevada and now Washington. Although I don't make the time for recreation as often as I'd like, I do enjoy biking, hiking, backpacking, woodworking, recreational reading (history), cooking and travel.
