SETC Webinars: Getting Started Using the WEA Sonexis System

Prior to your first webinar on the WEA system you will need to install some software on your computer. If using a school district computer you may need to enlist the aid of your district tech. support to accomplish this since many networks require administrative privilege for download and installation. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR TECH. SUPPORT STAFF AT LEAST ONE WEEK AHEAD TO ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME FOR THIS INSTALLATION. The WEA Sonexis system is a Windows only application.

Software Download and installation instructions

  1. Login to the WEA web conferencing site (tiger.washingtonea.org)

  2. Click on the System Test button

At this point you may get an Information bar warning. If so, click OK and then click the information bar at the top of the window that reads:

This site might require the following ActiveX control: Sonexis ConferenceManager from Sonexis. Click here to install . . .

Then, in the dropdown menu that appears click to select Install ActiveX control

If you do not see the Information bar warning go directly on to step #3.

  3. When finished you will be returned to the opening System Test page. Click the I'm a participant button

  4. Click the Check My System button

  5. The computer will run a check of your system. Any items checked with a red X will need attention before you can successfully participate in a webinar conference. If you need help troubleshooting a problem call Susan Pierce at the WEA, 253.765.7054
