Level: There are two reading levels - Gold (grade 2-3) and Blue (grade 4-5).
Gold Level titles have the syntax and vocabulary of conversational speech, simpler vocabulary, easily decodable words, limited number of ideas per sentence, limited types of complex sentences, and word-by-word highlighting.
Blue Level titles begin at a 4th grade level and are suitable for students, ages 9-17 (4th grade through high school), who are more than 2 grades behind in reading or failed readers or adults with reading difficulties. They have syntax and vocabulary of more formal English, more complex or abstract vocabulary, more ideas introduced into longer sentences, varied sentence structures and word order, sentence-by-sentence highlighting, recording capability for fluency check.
