NO LIMIT! Grant Project Impact on Teachers
- Technology Changes Teaching
- Enhanced Anchored Instruction Enhances Teaching
- Project Based Learning Enhances Teaching
Throughout the school year students consistently reported learning better and remembering more when engaged in hands-on projects as compared to using a textbook.- "We learned how to use manipulatives and that has been really important and has changed my teaching. I used to be drill and kill and I now enjoy learning and using manipulatives and investing time in doing that. Some times it takes more prep but it beats the drilling and having youth parrot that back . . . I have really started doing it [projects] this year."
- "Students were engaged and excited about the learning in the process. The hands on instruction challenged them and I saw a great difference from this years’ performance as opposed to last year. Students were excited and participated. I have other ideas to continue with [more hands on] projects. Such as building a bird house, designing a quilt, building an airplane, etc."
