NO LIMIT! Grant Project Impact on Teachers
- Technology Changes Teaching
- Enhanced Anchored Instruction Enhances Teaching
Overall, the teachers’ opinions about Enhanced Anchored Instruction projects were positive. Exhibit 9 shows that the teachers who completed the Spring Survey reported that students learned mathematics better and were motivated to do mathematics using Enhanced Anchored Instruction.- "I think that with the Kim’s Komet project, the students really got into the whole thing. They all really wanted to do their work, so that they could race their car. I am also doing the hovercraft part with my kids right now, and most of them are really into it. They are learning all about measuring, which is important. They are also learning how to work with others, which will be an important skill in life. It is also really motivating a group of kids who otherwise do not always participate. It really helps them enjoy math a lot more."
- "My students were challenged more than they ever have [been] in their entire years of schooling. The Kim’s Komet, hovercraft and skateboard ramp was a few of the new technology we used to teache the students about mathematical concepts. The DVD helped assist students in understanding the concepts that needed to be taught . . . "
