Description: Intelligent word prediction software.
Rather than struggling to write letter by letter, Co:Writer allows students who are learning disabled to write with whole words. Based on the letters typed, the program predicts words the student may want to use in a sentence. A student then selects the correct word from a list of choices, where it is automatically inserted. If word recognition is a problem, Co:Writer can read aloud the word choices.
Level: Suitable for all ages
Purpose: Struggling students can produce quality writing with less fatigue:
- Co:Writer works with any word processor to reduce the number of keystrokes necessary to complete an intended word. This makes the writing process easier, faster and even better for writers of all ability levels.
- FlexSpell - expands students' word choices to offer words from phonetic spellings. Students find success by using their multiple spelling approaches.
- TVS - Total Vocabulary System gives students more ways to write for meaning and with purpose. Customized dictionaries, directly related to subjects covered in the curriculum or of special interest to students, can be created in less than 3 minutes.
- Background and text color choices support students with visual impairments or visual discrimination issues. Color makes text more readable to keep students engaged in writing.
