MATH TECHNOLOGY THAT WORKS FOR STRUGGLING STUDENTS
This one-hour webinar will guide you through a preview of some motivating, research-based, math programs, software, and websites that not only help teachers, but work well for struggling students, no matter what their grade level: As time permits, we will visit several of these resources:TextHelp Read&Write Gold?s talking calculator, Math Trail, Zoombinis, Fastt Math, Inspire Data, The Futures Channel, Good Morning Miss Toliver, The Eddie Files, WebQuest, and teacher recommended math-learning websites.
Presenter: Jill Hallows managed the 2006-2007 Washington State Technology for Learning Disabilities Grant project through the Special Education Technology Center (SETC) located on the campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg. She also assisted former SETC director Ann Black in administering previous statewide projects including the 1998-2002 Learning Disabilities and Technology Grant, and the 2003-2005 NO LIMIT! for Learning Disabilities Grant. Prior to joining the SETC she worked as a K-8 technology teacher in northern California.
