General Information (PDF)

Central Washington University's Science Building was completed at a cost of $58 million and opened for use in September 1998. The Science Building is 155,308 gross square feet and 82,691 assignable square feet. The student capacity is 700 FTE based on classroom capacity. There are 2 operational distance education classrooms and the potential of 3 additional classrooms as funding permits.

The building houses the Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Chemistry and Science Education Program. The state-of-the-art facility provides undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty with modern lecture rooms, laboratories with current instrumentation and equipment, and technologically advanced research areas. The building hosts various academic and research activities, including seminars, academic club meetings, community tours (K-12 students), SOURCE presentations, and other campus courses.

This remarkable facility has inspired many professors and students to pursue their interests in the sciences, gain knowledge and enjoy research opportunities. We invite you to tour our building by browsing through pictures of the Science Building to see what we have to offer.
