Scholarship Central : Prospective Transfer Students |
Tuition WaiversTo recognize the academic achievement of talented transfer students, CWU awards a limited number of merit-based waivers to students admitted to CWU on or before February 1 of each year and who will start in the upcoming fall. The tuition waivers are based on applicants' incoming academic records and are awarded for the first year of instruction only. High achievers who have a GPA between 3.5 and 4.0 will be offered up to $1,500 by the Admissions Office. There is no application form to complete in order to be considered for tuition waivers. ScholarshipsTo apply for CWU scholarships visit the CWU scholarship web site at http://www.cwu.edu/~scholar/ . You will find the CWU General Scholarship Application Guidelines available from October 1st to February 1st every year. They provide information and detailed instructions on how to complete the electronic application. The deadline to submit the application to the Scholarship Office, and additional materials (when necessary) is on or before February 1 every year. Talent AwardsThe Athletic Department offers aid based on athletic ability to academically qualified students. Individual coaches identify recipients through their recruiting process. The scholarships offered by the Departments of Music and Theater Arts are available to both entering and currently enrolled students at CWU. For more information, visit their respective department websites. Financial AidNew students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority deadline of March 15 to be considered for need-based tuition waivers and scholarships. |
