The candidates for this award must have been undergraduate students at the time their articles were published.

- Submit up to 3 samples of published work in a campus publication during the current academic year
- One-page letter describing the articles and why they were chosen for submission (See web site below for examples)
- Must have been an undergraduate at the time the students articles were published
