American Chemical Society Scholars Program


Requirements:
  • African-Americans, Hispanics/Latinos, or American Indians
  • U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S
  • High school seniors, college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors intending to, or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a chemically-related science and planning a career in the chemical sciences or chemical technology
  • Full-time students
  • High academic achievers in chemistry or science (GPA: 3.0 or better)
  • Able to demonstrate financial need according to the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Award Amount:

Freshmen: up to $2,500
Sophomores: up to $3,000
Juniors/Seniors: up to $5,000
Deadline:
March 1, 2009
