Scholarship Central : General Scholarship Application Guidelines

2008-2009 CWU General Scholarship Application Guidelines
THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED, NEW DEADLINE MARCH 4, 2008

The scholarships listed below require that all students complete the CWU General Scholarship Application on or before March 1st. The scholarships identified with an asterisk (*) after their names require additional materials in order to complete the application packet. Additional materials that may be required includes: letters of recommendation, essay questions, transcripts, and other materials. The scholarships for students with financial need require the completion of the FAFSA for 2008-2009.

Please note: Students will be considered automatically for scholarships without an asterisk that do not require the submission of additional materials.

The following are the steps to complete the General Scholarship Application for 2008-2009.


STEP 1 - Review and print the description page(s) of the scholarship(s) you wish to apply for by selecting the appropriate link(s) from the following:

Scholarships for Active Students Without Financial Need - Any Department/Major


STEP 2 - Prepare your additional materials if applicable. Provide a full set of materials per scholarship that require additional materials, unless directed otherwise. Identify each set of materials with a) your full name, b) your student number, and c) the name of the scholarship(s) on each page of the additional materials. Mail the additional materials on or before March 1st, 2008 to:

STEP 3 - You are now ready to access and complete the 2008-2009 General Scholarship Application electronically by following the instructions below:
  • Visit the CWU home page at http://www.cwu.edu/
  • Select the Wildcat Connection
  • Log in with your user name and password. New applicants will need to create an account. See detailed instructions on how to create an account. (Opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader)
  • From the top left menu, select Safari
  • Read the introduction page and click on the "read and accept..." link
  • Follow the links: Self Service > Campus Finances > Scholarship Application
