Purpose: Recognize and celebrate individual departments for their commitment, customer service and dedication to student success and our SAEM division. The trophy is a reminder that we can make time to recognize our connectivity and celebrate moving forward together.

Directions:

1. The trophy is to be given to the department as close to the 1st of the month as possible
2. Select a department randomly—see the list of the SAEM departments. Draw one department that has not yet been selected from laminated strips handed out to directors at the retreat.
3. Take trophy on or around the 1st of the month to the selected department after calling to ensure director/staff are present. Bring as many from your department as possible at a designated time. Give informal speech.
4. Other ideas: take photo, have Observer take photo or Rich Villacres take photo. Ask that Observer feature that department in the next issue. Fill trophy with chocolate.
5. The recipients keep the trophy for the month.
6. Pass trophy on to another department on the first of the following month.
