Course Title:MSL 303: Leadership and Small Group Tactics Faculty Member Information:Instructor: MAJ Paul T. Sellars Prerequisites:MLS 302 or by permission of Department Chair. Course Rationale (Purpose):The purpose of this course is consistent with the University's mission, "by teaching we learn"; the College of Education and Professional Studies (CEPS), "to prepare enlightened leaders for their professions"; and this department's mission, to commission quality officers into the profession of arms. Grading:A "C" grade indicates that the student has made substantial progress toward meeting the course objectives of the course. The grades above a "C" are used for students who have demonstrated some degree of superiority. See the University Catalog for more details. All students on scholarships are reminded that they must obtain a "B" or better in this course. Incomplete Grades:An "I" means the student was not able to complete the course by the end of the term, But has satisfactorily completed a sufficient portion of it and can be expected to finish without having to re-enroll in it. See page 30 of the University Catalog for more details Evaluation:You will be graded on a point system. There are 1000 points that can be earned in the following manner:

Course Schedule:See Instructor Class Policies:ALL assignments will be completed in order to receive a passing grade. Any late assignments will receive no greater than 80%, and a missing assignment at the end of the quarter will result in a F. Class attendance in mandatory and includes daily class, PT, and Labs. Points will be awarded for attendance. Students failing to attend class and labs will forfeit attendance points. Uniform for all classes will be appropriate civilian attire, except on Thursdays when the ACU uniform will be worn.
