ELLENSBURG, Wash. - As a way to remember three Central Washington University students who died in recent, unrelated accidents, Catholic Campus Ministries will sponsor a memorial service Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m. in Hebeler Auditorium on CWU’s Ellensburg campus. It is open to the public.

“These recent deaths are certainly affecting people,” Joe Kiesel-Nield, CWU’s Catholic campus minister, says. “I believe there needs to be an opportunity for people to express their grief.”

CWU junior Traci L. Hansen, 20, from Boe, Wash., died Nov. 7 when her pickup truck was involved in a rollover accident on Interstate 90 near Hyak; Erin M. Klotz, 20, junior, Kennewick, died Nov. 18 when the vehicle in which she was a passenger was hit head-on by a vehicle going the wrong way on I-90 near North Bend; and Brian Tormohlen, 24, senior, Vancouver, drown Nov. 19 while in Australia, following a university exchange program to Queensland University of Technology.

For more information about Thursday’s memorial service, call (509) 925-3043, or (for the hearing impaired) TDD (509) 963-3323.
