CWU STUDENTS REQUESTED TO MOVE THEIR CARS DURING BREAK

Dec. 4, 2001

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - To allow for snow removal from campus parking lots during the holiday break, Central Washington University police and facilities management officials are requesting that students park their cars in one of three university lots between Dec. 15 and Jan. 1, 2002.

They are the N-19 lot, northeast of Barto Hall; and the free V-22 and X-22 lots, northeast of Student Village.

CWU students who park their cars on city streets are also encouraged to move their vehicles to one of those lots during that same period. If City of Ellensburg officials decide to also conduct snow removal, cars still parked curbside could be towed away, according to CWU Police Lt. Kevin Higgins.

“Having all cars in a limited number of locations will also make it easier to patrol,” Higgins adds.

For more information, call (509) 963-2959, or (for the hearing impaired) TDD (509) 963-3323.
