ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Tickets are now on sale for the third annual Wells Fargo Battle in Seattle, presented by Comcast, football game Saturday (6 p.m.), Oct. 8, at Qwest Field in Seattle between arch-rivals Western Washington University and Central Washington University.

Tickets are priced at $35 reserved with Club access, $25 reserved and $15 general admission.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster (206-628-0888), at the Qwest Field Box Office or through the University Store (509-963-1311). Western fans will be located on the west side of the stadium and Central fans on the east side.

Central won the first BIS in 2003, defeating the Vikings 29-20 before 16,392 fans, a record for a non-NCAA Division I collegiate football game in the state of Washington. Western won last year's meeting at Qwest Field, 28-21, with 11,458 in attendance.

Athletic officials from both schools are expecting to reach 20,000 in attendance.

Central Students: Do Your Part!

The "Battle in Seattle" will kick off a friendly rivalry with students of Western Washington University in a cash donation drive for Hurricane Katrina relief. The fundraising event is sponsored by the board of directors of the Associated Students of Central Washington University. It will continue through the "Klash in the Key" on Dec. 17. Have your donations ready for the game because every dollar you donate is an act of school pride and civic philanthropy.

Battle in Seattle Golf Classic October 7, 2005 Washington National Golf Course 10 a.m. shotgun start

Join Central and Western alumni, fans and friends for a fun-filled day of golf at Washington National Golf Course. 36 teams will tee it up the day before the big game in a 4-person scramble. $175 per person entry fee includes golf, range balls, cart, tee prize, banquet and prizes. Space is limited.

Hole sponsorships are also available for $1,500 and include: Priority registration, foursome in the tournament, hole sponsor sign, hole sponsor recognition in Battle in Seattle game-day program, thank you on Hawk Vision during Battle in Seattle and 8 club level tickets to the Battle in Seattle on Oct. 8.
