CWU Administration, Labor Union Arrive At Tentative Agreement

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - A tentative working agreement has been reached between Central Washington University and the Washington Federation of State Employees. The contract is subject to ratification by union members and approval by CWU's board of trustees.

"This culminates six months of hard work by management and union teams," says Dennis Defa, director of staff labor relations at CWU. "We think the proposed contract is fair, affordable and equitable."

The contract must be ratified by Oct. 1. Details of the contract will be made available at the conclusion of this process.
