U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges 2009

U.S. News & World Report's America's Best Colleges 2009 has announced that Central Washington University is once again listed in the top 15 master's degree-granting public institutions in the West. It is the sixth straight year the university has received this designation. The western region includes colleges and universities in fifteen states: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.

Central Washington University is a master's degree-granting institution with approximately 10,000 students and 1500 faculty and staff. More than 160 undergraduate and master's degrees are offered. Founded in 1891, the Ellensburg campus is located in the heart of Washington State, nestled between the Cascade Mountains and the Columbia River.
