Hundreds of Prospective Students Expected at CWU Fall Open House

October 19, 2007

ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- Central Washington University's office of admissions will be hosting over 800 high school and community college students at this year's Fall 2007 Open House. The annual event, which showcases Central's academic opportunities and campus programs for prospective students and their parents, is Saturday, October 27, 2007, at the Ellensburg campus from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

At the Open House, prospective students and their families will meet with CWU faculty and staff from programs such as financial aid, housing, student programs, campus life, admissions and academic advising. "It also gives prospective students and their families a chance to tour Central's campus," says Lisa Garcia-Hanson, director of admissions. "This program is one of two Saturday programs we host each year, and one of the most comprehensive ways for students to meet all the people who can answer their questions about why they should choose Central."

Open House participants visiting Central will also have an opportunity to experience Homecoming events on campus. The program will wrap up in time for visitors to attend the CWU Homecoming football game. Kickoff against Augustana is at 1 p.m. at Tomlinson Stadium. Tickets and information for the game are at www.wildcatsports.com/tickets.html.
