CWU Alumni Association To Host Annual 'Law Day'

ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- Those considering a law career can receive valuable information about law school and insight into the law profession when the Central Washington University Alumni Association hosts its second annual "Law Day" on Thursday, Oct. 23.

"This is a chance for the association to help not only Central students, but anyone who is interested in law school, or the law profession while also providing our alums already established in the field with a valuable mentorship opportunity," Gina Thompson, CWU alumni association events coordinator, says.

"Law Day," scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Grupe Center on the Ellensburg campus, will include an alumni panel presentation from 10 to 11 a.m., immediately followed by an hour-long law school presentation.

Law school representatives - from Georgetown University, Gonzaga University, Seattle University, University of Idaho, University of Toledo (Ohio) and University of Washington - will be on hand to provide information about their schools, along with application materials and necessary tests.

CWU alumni with experience practicing law will also be on hand to answer questions and provide their expertise concerning the legal world, notes Thompson, who is serving as event coordinator.
