Rally Planned to Welcome Home CWU Wildcats

ELLENSBURG, Wash.--No doubt Central Washington University's football players are having the time of their lives right now. History is in the making for the Wildcats, who are playing in the Northwest Region championship game Saturday, Dec. 1, in Michigan.

"Regardless of the outcome, we're proud of our Wildcats," says Nancy Barker, CWU event planning officer.

Join us Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Nicholson Pavilion parking for a welcome home rally for our Wildcats. The team is expected to arrive between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Be sure to bundle up and don't forget to wear your Central crimson and black. To help keep you warm, we'll provide hot chocolate, coffee and patio heaters.

"Fans can also stay warm by heading inside Nicholson Pavilion and catching the CWU men's basketball game at 7 p.m. while they wait for the football team to arrive," adds Barker.

Central's football team has an all-time playoff record of 12-9-1. Saturday's Northwest Region championship game has the Wildcats taking on top-ranked Grand Valley State at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale, Mich. The match-up is one of four NCAA Division II quarterfinal games. Catch the entire game on www.ncaasports.com. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.
