Reome, a 5-foot-8 setter, led the NCAA Division II in assists with 14.25 assists per game during the 2004 season. She helped the Wildcat offense hit at a .281 percentage and lead the nation in team kills with 17.57 per game. Individually, Reome had a career-high 1,297 total assists, was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year, and was a first-team all-region selection by the AVCA and a second-team choice by Daktronics. McGahuey, a 5-foot-10 middle blocker, had arguably the greatest offensive season by an individual in CWU school history, recording a school-record 429 kills and a .418 hitting percentage. Also a first-team all-conference and all-region selection, she averaged 4.56 kills per game and was the Wildcats' team leader in blocks as well. The duo becomes the first Central Washington players to earn All-American honors in volleyball since Jill Taylor was selected as an honorable mention NAIA All-American during her senior season of 1995. Only seven players, including this year's selections, have earned All-American status in volleyball in CWU school history. McGahuey is still eligible for additional All-American accolades by Daktronics, by virtue of her first team all-region selection last week. That organization's All-American squad is expected to be announced next week. Central Washington, which loses just one senior - Reome - to graduation, went 26-1 and clinched the school's first-ever NCAA Division II post-season appearance this year. The Wildcats also became one of six programs in D-II history to complete their regular season schedule undefeated. 2004 American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II All-American Teams First TeamSetters - Valerie Martinez, Sr., North Florida; Teresa Ohta, Sr., UC San Diego; Michele Rosamiglia, Jr., Barry (Fla.).
