CWU Governing Board To Meet FridayMay 5, 2004Contact: Mark Anderson (509-963-1493/fax 509-963-2301/e-mail: andemark@cwu.edu) ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- Central Washington University's board of trustees (BOT) will hold its next regular meeting on the university's Ellensburg campus, Friday, May 7, at 1 p.m. in Barge 412. At the meeting, the board is expected to take action on the recommendations for the university's 2004-2005 distinguished professors, consider a parking rate proposal and approve revisions to the student technology fee contractual agreement. In addition, the trustees will discuss next year's operating budget, including proposed tuition, review the auxiliary services business plan and consider proposed 2005-2007 operating and capital budget requests. Also slated for discussion are the Student Union and Recreation Building (SUB/REC) project's State Environmental Policy Act notice of action and the proposed sale of SUB/REC bonds. And, the BOT is expected to act on the demolition of Holmes Dining Hall. Board members will hear a legislative report from the president and convene in executive session to discuss a collective bargaining matter excluded from the open meetings act.
