ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Six Central Washington University juniors have been selected to serve as CWU’s
Silver Cortege for this year’s westside graduation ceremony.
The Silver Cortege will lead the Class of 2003 in the
university’s annual westside commencement beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Sunday, June 15 at Highline Community College’s Skookum Pavilion.
“They are selected based on academic excellence,” Tracy
Schwindt, CWU registrar, said. “We commend these students for their
high degree of achievement.”
About 195 graduates from CWU-Lynnwood, CWU-SeaTac and
CWU-Steilacoom are expected to participate in graduation ceremonies.
Since 1975, those CWU centers have offered upper division and
graduate coursework leading to baccalaureate and master’s degrees to
placebound and time-bound students in the Puget Sound area, along with
those seeking classes for personal enrichment or career advancement.
More than 400 students each year graduate from those centers.
Following is the list of the 2002-03 CWU westside
