ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Six Central Washington University juniors have been selected to serve as
CWU’s Silver Cortege for this year’s Ellensburg graduation ceremony.
The Silver Cortege will lead the 2002-03 graduating seniors
and master’s degree candidates in the university’s 112th graduation
procession, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14 at Tomlinson Stadium.
“They are selected based on academic excellence,” Tracy
Schwindt, CWU registrar, says. “We commend these students for their
high degree of achievement.”
About 1,050 students are expected to participate in Central’s
graduation ceremony. In all, CWU will confer 1,836 bachelor’s and 253
master’s degrees on students completing their coursework during this
academic year.
